Stay awhile

Visitors will always find a room with a view at lodging establishments along the Lake Country Scenic Byway. Decisions, decisions. Resorts offer cabins of all sizes, modern and rustic, right on the lake or a short walk away. Or check out hotels, motels, campgrounds, bed and breakfasts, vacation homes or even houseboats or a hostel.

The variety of lodging brings an equal abundance of amenities: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, decks, private grills, fire rings, fire places, beaches, supervised kids’ activities, hot tubs, spas and massages, grand historic lodges and sparkling new great rooms, gift shops, playgrounds, hiking trails, live music, Wi-Fi and cable TV (or not). If you’re bringing along your best friend, you’ll find most communities offer pet-friendly accommodations, too.

Many lodging establishments offer whatever you could need or want to have a great time: equipment to play on the lake and in the water, fish cleaning facilities and bait, bicycles, horseshoes, volleyball courts, pool tables, golf courses – oh yes, and laundry rooms.

Think year-round. Not all lodging facilities are open 12 months of the year, but many are. Makes you think differently about that hot tub or spa, doesn’t it?
