The forest areas along the Byway corridor harbor
deer, bear and grouse. The waterways are home to ducks and geese. Area
game preserves release upland birds, pheasant, partridge, quail and turkey.
The extensive Byway area traverses many types of game habitat, resulting
in an area rich in hunting opportunity.
