Agri-Tourism is gaining in popularity in summer,
where you can see the daily workings of real farms. The University of
Minnesota Central Region has worked to develop and fund the following
participating farms on the tour in the Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids areas.

American Buffalo Ranch
- Briard’s Hog Farm: Experience
a working farm with pigs, cattle, deer, peacocks, ducks, geese, chickens
and more. Crafts in the Virginia Country Store and purchase pork products.
- Jake’s Syrups & Natural
Products: Visit a maple syrup facility and learn about the process by
walking through the sugar bush operation.
- Double J Livestock: Operating
sheep ranch
- Dannheim Farm: Grows strawberries,
raspberries, blueberries, pumpkins, squash
- Aho Brothers Dairy, Inc: Operating
500 cow dairy farm
- Richwood Herb Garden: Herbs,
flowers and vegetables with educational herb and garden tours
